Aeterna Roma is an alternative universe version of the Roman Empire. Despite this, the game is endeavours to have some historical accuracy as well. The game is set in 56AD and Rome is currently under the rule of the Emperor Claudius Sabucius Augustus Caesar, though who knows for how much longer. AR has boards where you may play out characters who live within the provinces, whether they be romans or Peregrini (free born people under roman rule).

Aeterna Roma - A Rome RPG
1. What races are we allowed to join with? Remember the Roman Empire and its trade roots were large and extensive. But really, there is no specific things you can't be. So long as they are in the area so to speak. If you are really unsure than please PM me or post a message below this thread.
2. What colonies are owned by Rome? Italy, Gaul, Southern part of Germania, Egypt, Greece, Carthage, Modern day Turkey, and Spain. At this time Britannia is not under Roman rule, (Some roman colonies there), neither is Northern Europe, Eastern Asia, India etc. I hope that clears things up for people a bit. 3. As a member of the Imperial family? (one that is not canon) Well you may join as a Senator as you like. As with the Imperial family, please request that under the canons list and await for one of the admins approval. There is a high chance it will be accepted though.
4. Are we able to have children on this game? You are allowed to have children, in the thread please put a warning. It is up to either player to decide on who plays the baby, if no-one is found then the baby dies.
5. If we play a canon are we allowed to kill them or make them have kids? If you would like to kill the canon, please ask an admin for permission prior to doing so and the same goes with them having children. It is likely we will let you do whatever you want though.
6. Is this game based around the movie Gladiator? Nope, not at all.
7. Can I be a King of (insert place)? It is possible, depending on the place. If you're wanting to be a king of a country or place already owned by Rome, then you would -- in essence -- be a client king. You would be a symbol to your people, but you would answer to Rome, and not have any real power. However, if you wanted to be a king of an empire outside of Rome (Baktrian, Armenian, Sarmatian, etc.) that is possible. Or, if you wanted to be a kign (or chief) of a Germanic or Briton tribe, that is also possible.
